The social dining room of the Christian Mission “New Life” continues its work for people who have found themselves in difficult life circumstances, lost their homes, or are unable to meet their basic needs on their own.

On this day, the doors of the social dining room opened again for those in need of support. More than 100 people came here to receive a hot meal — and much more than that. Volunteers gave time to each person: they listened, talked, encouraged them with kind words, and shared the Good News of Jesus Christ.

This ministry is not limited to food alone. On that day, people could also receive first aid, get clean clothes, and take a shower. For those living on the streets or going through a severe life crisis, such a simple opportunity to take care of themselves often becomes an inaccessible luxury.

The Mission’s volunteers dedicated this day to people: they were present, listened to their stories, supported them with advice, and shared the hope that faith gives. For many visitors, such a conversation became the most important part of the day and the first step toward change.

The social dining room is part of the charitable project “Feed the Hungry”, which the Christian Mission “New Life” has been carrying out for more than 15 years. It is not only an opportunity to feed a person, but also to help them find a path to a new life. It is here that many people learn about the opportunity to turn to social adaptation centers, where they can receive shelter, psychological and spiritual support, help with restoring documents, and a chance to return to a full life.

Among those who served food and cared for others on this day were also people who once came here for help themselves. Having gone through the path from homelessness and despair to restoration, today they have become volunteers and are helping those who are now facing similar difficulties.

In times of war, it is especially important not to remain indifferent to the pain of others. That is why such ministries remain extremely needed. Thanks to volunteers who dedicate their time, strength, and resources every week to helping their neighbors, people receive not only a hot meal, but also attention, support, care, and hope for a better future.
