Recently, Yevheniia celebrated her 90th birthday. For the past four years, she has been living in the shelter for elderly people run by the Christian Mission “New Life,” where she receives the help, care, and support she needs every day.

Yevheniia has lived a long and difficult life. For many years, she worked at the Morozovskyi factory, faithfully fulfilled her duties, raised her children, and overcame many challenges.

One of the hardest trials in her life was the loss of her daughter, who tragically died while she was still of school age. Even many years later, Yevheniia remembers her with deep sorrow. This loss left a wound in her heart that has not healed with time.

Yevheniia endured this painful period and continued moving forward. She has a beloved son who is now an adult. However, due to her advanced age, it has become increasingly difficult for her to manage everyday tasks on her own. She needs constant attention, assistance, and care, which cannot always be provided at home.

That is why, four years ago, life circumstances brought Yevheniia to the shelter. Here, she found a safe place to live and people who help her with daily tasks, care for her health, and remain by her side in both difficult and joyful moments.

On the day of her anniversary, the staff and residents of the shelter congratulated Yevheniia on her 90th birthday and wished her health, strength, peace, and tranquillity. For an elderly person, it is especially important to feel that they are remembered, that their life has value, and that they have not been left alone.
